ABOUT
Session of a luxury private apartment located in the prestigious Palo Alto development overlooking Marbella. The interior design by MON Interiors is a study of elegance based on noble materials, natural stone, marble, and wood. The photographs were recognized by the industry, earning a feature in Design Alive magazine, among others.
GOAL
The primary goal was to capture the character of the materials, with a specific focus on the unique stone elements at the heart of the apartment. The client wanted to illustrate the dual nature of this cladding: its natural, raw structure in ambient light, and the depth and three-dimensional veining that is revealed when the integrated backlighting is turned on.
CHALLENGES
The main challenge was the time constraint and the intense Spanish sun entering through the floor to ceiling glass walls. The harsh, direct light risked "flattening" the textures and losing the subtle effect of the illuminated stone panels, which were the focal point of the session.
STRATEGY
To manage the contrast and bring out the softness of the interior, we decided to work with translucent curtains closed. They acted as a giant diffuser, softening the harsh sun and allowing for a balanced exposure. This made it possible to capture the subtle veining of the illuminated stone without losing the natural daylight atmosphere. At the same time, we captured a series of wider "indoor-outdoor" shots, opening the space toward the terrace to showcase the panoramic view and the furniture composition against the landscape.
RESULT
The result is a cohesive documentation that precisely reflects the quality of finishes and details. The photographs showcase the luxury standard of the apartment while maintaining a natural, residential atmosphere. The value of this material was confirmed by features in industry media, including Design Alive and the channels of Diseño Interior magazine.
